In iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, you can hide that folder, as well. You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to hide the photo. You probably already know about the Hidden Photos folder in the Photos app on iPhone and iPad. Select the photo and click Image > Hide Number Photo from the menu bar. Give it a generic name that doesn’t raise any suspicion. So open the Photos app and do one of the following: Right-click the photo and pick Hide Number Photo from the shortcut menu. To get started, open the Notes app and create a new note by tapping the new note button on the bottom right corner of the app.

All you have to do is import all your private photos and videos in the Notes app, use the lock feature to password protect the note, and then go back to Photos app and delete all the media you imported into Notes. By default, these albums will require Face ID, Touch ID, or your iPhone’s passcode in order to gain. Anyone can see your hidden photos or videos by going to the new “Hidden” album.įortunately, there is a hidden trick that not only completely hides all your photos and videos, but also password protect them with your Touch or Face ID. The Photos app itself will automatically lock the Hidden album and the Recently Deleted album. It only hides them from ‘Moments’ and “Albums”. You will have to use a third-party app, which I wont recommend for security and privacy.
Simply select the photo you want to hide, tap on the Share icon, and select the “Hide” option. You can not lock hidden photos on an iPhone or iPad with a passcode. IPhone has a native way to hide photos and videos in the Photos app.
